According to the report of Public Relations of organization for Investment, Economic & Technical Assistance Iran (OIETAI), International Seminar on Foreign Investment in Iran was inaugurated in the presence of Ministers of Economic Affairs & Finance, Foreign Affairs, Road & Transportation, Housing & Urban Development and Governor of Central Bank of Iran in Raizan Int'l Conference Center.
More than 120 investment companies participated in the seminar in which investment opportunities in different areas such as Steel, Oil, Gas, Petrochemical, Housing & Urbanization, Material, Food, Pharmaceutical and Fishery Industries were negotiated, Head of OIETAI said.
Alishiri pointed out that role of Foreign Investment in improving of Tourism, Manufacture of Machine Tools and Telecommunication was discussed in the seminar.
Minister of Economic Affairs & Finance said issue of investment licenses and capital inflow were improved 600 percent and 300 percent respectively.
Hosseini pointed out that Iran is very suitable for absorbing foreign investment and statistics that were announced about foreign Investment were only those investments which were under the promotion and protection of foreign investment law.
He also said investment in Oil and Petrochemical sections are not included in foreign investment statistics.
It was not previously possible for investors to invest in many sections but after notifying implementation of General Polices of Principal 44, opportunities and situations for investment were improved, Hosseini added
