The Comprehensive Foreign Investment Information Bank was established according to the report of Public Republic of Organization for Investment, Economic & Technical Assistance of Iran (OIETAI).

Alishiri, Head of OIETAI, during the Foreign Investment Board meeting said, the Foreign Investment Information Bank includes all investments input information.

He also asserted that according to the article 22 of Foreign Investment Promotion & Protection Law, all Ministries, Government Companies & Organizations are required to provide all foreign investment information for OIETAI but it has not done yet and foreign investment statistics only include investments which were approved by Foreign Investment Board.
