The aim of this forum is to introduce Iran's investment opportunities and capabilities to European investors and to exchange technical information between domestic and foreign investors, with the presence of project owners, Alishiri said.

According to the Vice Minister, Portugal's private sector is interested in investing Iran's petrochemicals, renewable energies, pharmaceutics, paper production, tourism, foodstuffs, auto spare parts, IT, housing, industries and mining sectors.

Alishiri added that Iran intends to have a multilateral commercial and economic relation with Portugal and accept its investors under the Promotion and Protection of Foreign Investment law, in different arena.

This forum will provide a good opportunity for both countries' entities and project owners to negotiate directly with their counterpart, he said.

He also cited that the organization for Investment, Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran (OIETAI) is arranging more than 15 seminars on Iran's investment opportunities in different countries which will be aimed at expansion of economic and commercial relations with other countries and sustainable development.
